Krug Vintage

Krug Vintage is the maison's declared-vintage cuvée line, distinct from the multi-vintage Grande Cuvée. Where Grande Cuvée is built every year from over a hundred wines across many vintages, the Vintage is the cellar's reading of one year alone: an assemblage of around two dozen individual wines from a single harvest, vinified parcel-by-parcel with partial oak fermentation.

The cellar declares a Krug Vintage only in years it considers expressive enough to stand alone. The wine spends well over a decade on the lees before disgorgement and is dosed in the low brut range. Each declaration is the subject of its own Krug "ID" reveal, narrating the parcel composition and growing season behind the bottle.
