53% Pinot Noir · 47% Chardonnay

Gold Label is Lanson's vintage Champagne, produced only in declared years and named for the gold rather than black label distinguishing it from the NV. The blend is typically about 53% Pinot Noir and 47% Chardonnay, drawn principally from grand cru villages on both flanks of the Montagne de Reims and on the Côte des Blancs.

Like the rest of the range it skips malolactic fermentation. Long ageing on the lees (around eight years) gives the wine a tertiary depth — toast, dried citrus, brioche — without softening the acidic backbone that defines the Lanson style at every level.
