Brut Nature
A champagne category containing 0 to 3 g/L of residual sugar with no added dosage. Also labelled 'Zéro Dosage', 'Dosage Zéro' or 'Pas Dosé'.
Brut Nature is the driest commercial category of champagne. The designation applies to wines with up to 3 g/L of residual sugar, with no liqueur d’expédition added after disgorgement.
The category has grown steadily since the 2000s, alongside broader low-dosage trends, and is favoured by producers aiming to highlight terroir and fruit ripeness rather than dosage balance.
