Bollinger La Grande Année Prestige

La Grande Année is Bollinger's flagship vintage Champagne, made only in years the cellar deems worthy. The blend is built around Pinot Noir (typically 60–70%) with the balance Chardonnay, drawn from a tight selection of grand and premier cru parcels — heavily weighted to Aÿ, Verzenay and the Côte des Blancs.

The defining technical choice is full primary fermentation in small oak barrels rather than steel, a Bollinger signature that gives the wine its texture and oxidative complexity. The wine sees long lees age (around eight years) before disgorgement, then a low dosage. La Grande Année Rosé adds a touch of still red wine from Bollinger's own Côte aux Enfants parcel.
