Brut Réserve is the cuvée Charles Heidsieck stakes its modern reputation on. The blend is built across the three classical Champagne grapes, sourced from around sixty different crus. Critically, it carries an unusually high reserve-wine share — typically around 40% — drawn from a deep stock kept in the maison's ancient crayères beneath Reims.

Disgorgement is published on the back label. The wine is rested at least three years on lees and a further several months after disgorgement, far beyond the AOC requirement. The crayères — chalk pits dug for Roman quarrying — give a perfectly stable cellaring environment.
