Profile

A vintage 100% Chardonnay cuvée from the Côte des Blancs villages, vinified without malolactic fermentation in most years and aged a minimum of five years on the lees in Aÿ. The style is taut and precise — citrus zest, white flowers, chalk minerality — and is meant to express the Chardonnay terroir of Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Villers-Marmery rather than the Pinot-driven house signature.

Place in the range

Sits between the entry-level Brut Classic and the prestige Cuvée William Deutz / Amour de Deutz, and is the maison's reference point for Côte des Blancs Chardonnay. Bottled only in years deemed worthy of a millésime declaration.
