Style
Brut Classic is built on an even split between Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, drawn primarily from villages around Aÿ and the Côte des Blancs. The blend is calibrated for finesse rather than power: it favours brightness, fine bubble and a chalky finish over weight. A reserve-wine component (typically 30–40%) gives the cuvée its consistency across years; dosage sits at brut level, three years minimum on the lees.
Place in the range
The volume cuvée and the house's calling card — released every year, and the wine most likely to anchor a Deutz tasting before the vintage and prestige cuvées (Blanc de Blancs, Cuvée William Deutz, Amour de Deutz).
