The Piper-Heidsieck Brut (often labelled "Cuvée Brut") is the maison's NV and volume cuvée. The assemblage is built around Pinot Noir (around 50%) and Meunier (around 35%), with Chardonnay (around 15%) for tension, drawn from about a hundred villages across the Marne.

The style aims for fruit-forward openness rather than austerity. The cellar holds the wine on the lees for longer than the appellation minimum — typically around three years — and pitches the dosage in the mid-brut range. Long-time chef de cave Régis Camus shaped the contemporary identity; the wine is the maison's most visible product and has long been associated with film festivals and the entertainment-industry market.
