Brut Yellow Label is Veuve Clicquot's NV signature and one of the most-recognised Champagne labels in the world. The assemblage is Pinot Noir-led — typically 50–55% Pinot Noir, around 30% Chardonnay and the balance Meunier — drawn from over fifty crus across the Marne, with a meaningful proportion of grand cru fruit and a substantial reserve component.
Pinot Noir gives the wine its body and structural backbone, a deliberate house signature inherited from Madame Clicquot's nineteenth-century cellar practice. The wine spends a minimum of three years on the lees, well above the AOC requirement, and is dosed in the standard brut range. The yellow colour of the label, registered in 1877, references Cliquot's long-standing dominance of the English market and remains the maison's most identifiable visual asset.
