Veuve Clicquot Cave Privée Prestige

Cave Privée is the maison's late-release programme: vintages of the historic flagship (La Grande Dame, and earlier "Carte d'Or" vintages) that the cellar holds back and disgorges only after twenty to thirty years on lees. Each release is small.

The selection emphasises vintages with the structure to gain from extended lees age. Because disgorgement is recent, the wines come to market in unusually fresh condition for their age, which makes the Cave Privée bottlings a touchstone for what mature Veuve Clicquot can be.
